Antique French 18ct Gold Bee Brooch

Antique French 18ct gold bee brooch;  this adorable little brooch is part of The Alice Collection and is an actual size bee!  He is set with two bright ruby eyes and has fine detailing on his body and wings.  To the reverse he is fitted with a pin and hook clasp.  Weight: 3.70gm.  Measurements: 1.60cm x 1.20cm (3/4″ x 1/2″).  He is stamped with the French control mark for 18ct gold that was used between 1838 and 1919 (Horse’s head) and is in very good condition.   He dates from around 1880 – 1900.  Ref: H066-56
